  1. When Rome controlled the area now called Israel it was NOT called Israel. It was “The Roman Province of Judea” because the Tribe of Judea were loyal to the Romans and thats who the Roman’s propped up to help keep the people there in line.

  2. Great show as usual.
Loved both of your comments about the mood or mindset of protests/protesters. The take down of Ray McGovern was disturbing. But what probably disturbed the system more, is that it always seemed as though Ray was in charge. Yes, he was being man handled, but he won the encounter. People won’t remember that he was being hauled away as a criminal, but that he was being abused and victimized by the police for speaking truth to power. Lee, I wish that I could claim that he is a friend of mine as well, because he seems like a very good person to call “friend”. Act Out and Keep Fighting!

  3. “…the last time Israel even really existed as a kingdom/nation prior to 1948 was only 536 BCE. So you know. Recent history, fresh wounds, yadda yadda.”

Actually that’s not so. Israel existed for some time after that but it was Roman ruled. Of course, the main point would be “So?”

“I mean maybe if for the people of Israel their collective memory went back beyond 1948 to the late 30’s and early 40’s they would remember what it felt like to actively be being exterminated and treated as disposable labor at best and lab rats for experimentation at worst (the lucky ones were just shot out right) and they might have that moment of self reflection and go “oh wow, this is FUCKED UP.”

I don’t recall the Jews trying 40 years previous to wipe out Israel and carrying out terrorist attacks almost every day after that failed though. Am I missing something?

  4. In person JA is not that smug. He use to be unbearable. In reality, the guru m.o. is a devolved defense mechanism. Like most super duper nerds he is basically offish and painfully shy so he way over compensates. And, pro forma to the handful of nerds in the world in his gifted class of coders, JA is at heart marshmallow gentle, inbred empathetic and decidely paranoid.

Lee, you, and your team, give us fresh faith. Thank you for your wisdom and dedication. We need to clone you. Pax.

  5. Oh my where to begin here. Guess we’ll go in order here starting with good old empathy (a trait largely missing from Western society in general anymore. Side effect of the festival of greed called Capitalism I guess). I would much rather have empathy than sympathy. Sympathy is patronizing as fuck, it belittles victims and really adds up to “Thoughts and Prayers” which are about as substantive as Unicorn farts on the fucking wind. I think if we could just restore some level of empathy (read as: understanding) then we mght begin to be able to see some progress in this world. People forget that disagreement does not automatically mean “hate”, so by all means disagree to your blackened little hearts content. But at least *UNDERSTAND* or try to, where the other side is coming from. And yes I know full well how hard that is to do.

Up next: Wikileaks. This is where I have to use surgical precision to separate the organization from its founder and (former) head Julian Assange. Wikileaks as an entity is vital. What they are doing we need. And Assange himself is an amazing journalist and for his work, his intelligence and his accomplishments I have to admire and respect him. But at the same time he’s just such a smug cunt that I can only take him in small doses. So really the only issues I have with him is just something about his personality puts me off. No real credible reason for me to think he should be anything less than a free man, or as free as Western Society will allow us to be. Nor any reason to condone his continued persecution especially since any allegations of criminal wrongdoing have been completely dropped.

And yes we have saved the best for last, the topic that will have me so fucking irrate that with every beat of my heart I just expect streams of blood to spurt out my ears. As John Kiriaku and Brian Becker pointed out on their show Monday the last time Israel even really existed as a kingdom/nation prior to 1948 was only 536 BCE. So you know. Recent history, fresh wounds, yadda yadda. So for about 2,500 years or so (give or take a decade) Israel wasn’t even a thing. So how the fuck can they have the audacity to say “Jerusalem is the eternal capitol of the nation of Isral” is staggering. For that to be true you have to just completly disregard a couple of millenia of history for that entire part of the globe and eternity has to begin in 1948. Next atrocity please. Oh and here it is. So if you wear an IDF uniform and carry an assualt rifle thats a license to kill if you happen to be anywhere near some Palestinians. These so called American Main Stream Journalists don’t have the spine to call it what it is: A massacre, a blood bath, and a fuckng unfortivable atrocity. I mean maybe if for the people of Israel their collective memory went back beyond 1948 to the late 30’s and early 40’s they would remember what it felt like to actively be being exterminated and treated as disposable labor at best and lab rats for experimentation at worst (the lucky ones were just shot out right) and they might have that moment of self reflection and go “oh wow, this is FUCKED UP. What the HELL did we drink last night? What kind of fucking drugs were we on when we thought this sounded like a legitimate and okay thing to do?!” But. That would require recognizing and accepting your own imperfections and thats something few humans truly have the stomach to do. Not in this golden age of narccisim we find ourselves trapped in.

  6. I’m sorry that I am currently too broke to make a donation or to be a sustaining member…I am a paralegal (who also has *AMAZING* I.T. powers that keeps the boss from needing to call the “little guy down the street” to fix problems like when he accidentally moves the toolbars elsewhere, or needs the router reset…)…I think you will totally understand my motives as far as my earnings are concerned…If I make much more than $181.00 take home pay per week, I will lose my medical card, which I desperately need due to treating regularly with high-$$$ Rx for clinical depression and anxiety, hereditary high blood pressure, now chiropractic care, and other colds and what-nots that people can’t foresee…I paid into the government since 1988…so they can pay the shit back to me!!! I adore you, Mr. Camp, and I will support you however I can!!! (But I’m broke at the moment…)
