I live in Japan…….and from here the view is frightning……for you. I live in a very heavily regulated socialist democracy. With all it’s drawbacks, this place is SO MUCH BETTER!! Social safety nets for everyone, a public transportation system that is nearly perfect in every way, healthcare for 100% of the people, delightful tap water throughout the country, safe streets, NO GUNS !!, people who are constantly trying to out-do each other by seeing who can be the most kind and considerate. High taxes? Yes. But mostly on large multinational corporations. High school graduation rate? About 95%. The ones who do leave usually do it to join a family business. When it hits the fan, Lee, come on over……I can’t find any reason to leave here.
