It’s a great way to go, always thinking, always innovating, always moving forward, always putting People ahead of profit (way ahead, not even in the same universe!), need before greed, solidarity!
It’s a nice start for sure. Relieving countless people from countless debt will certainly be helpful to regular folks, but it also works within the current system without disrupting any of the established structures. I think “using capitalism to defeat corporatism” as the previous poster noted is a little misguided as you are using capitalism to relieve the debt of poor people while you are still paying the banks for the debt. The only people that lose out are the collection agencies, and while it would be nice to see them go away, if you don’t get to the root of the problem something like the housing crisis will happen again. I’m sure it makes no difference to the banks whether it’s collection agencies buying up the debt or activists. Either way they make their money. Now a true debt strike where people flat out refused to pay, that would be something to see!
Brilliant!
It can totally work. Maybe a Kickstart campaign? Dunno, but I’m going to marshall my resources in their direction.
I’ve always said, “one should be conservative enough to afford to be a liberal”. Using capitalism to defeat corporatism is such poetic justice.
Cheers
