The official myth is that Capitalism encourages innovation and efficiency. Each corporation’s PR division now must try to distract from their actual behavior, by adopting some philanthropic cause or other, and publicizing it to create an aura of respectability. But Lee has it right–the system is set up to reward corporations not only for innovation and efficiency, but for *ruthlessness*. The most ruthless put the others out of business. Then, in this environment, within each corporation, the sociopaths similarly push out the other leaders. The corporation now rewards sociopaths–and one characteristic of a sociopath is that he is not concerned with anything or anyone besides himself. He or she is governed solely by a concern for #1. That means that the corporation is doomed to implode eventually, because sociopaths rise up through the ranks and feather their own nest at the expense of the corporation, itself. But before that happens, they have ruined countless lives. Once a corporation gets large enough, it can destroy entire countries, when it is expedient for this or that sociopathic leader, before the corporation itself implodes. Unfortunately, I still am convinced that the root causes go even deeper than the Capitalist system. Adopt another system, which at least doesn’t officially champion the bottom line, and the sociopaths will find a way to take it over and corrupt it. They will simply have to lie a little harder. In a Communist system, for example, they will have to pretend that they are acting for the good of the State. No big deal. That’s easy for them. In my opinion, it is materialism, and the loss of the sacred, and of intrinsic meaning, which has created a breeding ground for sociopaths, and for unbridled Capitalism of the most vicious variety. If you don’t change those root causes, any system will fail.

Governance by the people for sane approaches to living
(Amazon wouldn’t be such “bad guy” if it had not and does not achieve what it does by product & infrastructures that are relatively highly subsidized by public corporatized government seed-money / cash subsidies {and, if the company operated in true net neutrality} and had better employment approaches / supply lines; and, didn’t have consumer base that was pre-trained by w-mart & other big box chain stores that generally dumb-down and in-Toxicate with various synthetic man made vectors like plethora of synthetic chemicals, besides highly corporatized (dis)education base it promoteswe / that people should (for health and life sake) try to overcome)
Don’t name the bern/warren bs “capitalism” nor “socialism” it’s just costly appeasement of the toxic empirical way we have come more and more to feed by not turning away from serving and servicing of the types and sales force of the types like the big three (and others) of the 1%ers and their salespeople.
To not become / further such, we the people of either sound mind and or spirit need to only buy from non empire servers of toxic products and productions. If people are to be healthy and this planet to support life / genuine health, we the people need to shun-ignore / don’t buy from the big paycheck machine and those that produce for such.
We the people need to get rid of the epa fda etc, and become the primary agency of governance / government by true and mostly direct democracy.
(Technology that supports this, as LC not the cash cow knows & reports on, exists well now within our abilities to relatively easily {peacefully} apply to make this transition towards genuine functioning democracy instead of the toxic bs state we largely have become)
