A) You are wrong. Not only do we have PLENTY of reasons to interfere in Venezuela (oil being a big one), but US officials like Mike Pompeo and Donald Trump have PUBLICLY STATED they want to interfere in Venezuela. B) It is now a known fact that the US ALREADY had a failed coup attempt against Hugo Chavez in 2002, which lasted for several days. Documents have revealed the US’s involvement. So this is nothing new. C) Who is President Santos? Maduro is president of Venezuela.
The U.S. has no incentive to create instability in Venezuela. I do believe that we are trying to insert pro-western leaders in hopes of future returns, this tactic is normal in the post Cold War world. Lastly, it is important to remember that the U.S. and many other countries have attempted to send aide in the forms of medicines, water, and food, sadly President Santos refuses to accept what’s offered.
